Comprised of the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) and our sister organization, VNA Extended Home Care (VNAEC), the Visiting Nurse Association of Indiana County provides supportive, compassionate home health, hospice and palliative care, and extended home care that recognizes patients as valued members of our community family.
Working to help people maintain their dignity and independence in the comfort and security of their own home while surrounded by family and friends the VNA also works to provide the highest quality care to everyone in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
Community owned and supported, our not-for-profit charitable mission helps set us apart from other healthcare organizations, as the VNA works to proactively identify people in need of charity care and then provide that care when and wherever it is most needed.
You see, at the Visiting Nurse Association, we believe that life is a celebration of all we've ever dreamed and accomplished. As a resource and provider of specialized, skilled nursing we can help our patients live a better life, with the respect and dignity they deserve.
We have been privileged to be part of your life journeys – promoting the health of the community through education and immunization, assisting in recovery from acute illness or injury, welcoming fragile new babies home, helping to manage the challenges of chronic and complex illness, and extending comfort to the terminally ill. We exist to enable people to achieve their goal of a good life – all the way to the very end.
Through the leadership of many members of the Indiana community who founded the VNA, the seed was planted at the Indiana Hospital’s laundry room in 1970. Since then we have grown to bear the fruit of decades of community support and have become Indiana County’s premier Home Health, Hospice, and private duty agency, serving close to 3000 clients a year.
